Get to Know your Candidate for Sheriff in 2028

Beau Cisco

Leadership begins long before the campaign trail—and for Beau Cisco, it began right here at home.
A lifelong resident of Palm Beach County since 1986, Beau grew up in Wellington after his father retired from law enforcement in upstate New York. He attended local schools, graduating from Wellington High School before earning his degree in Social Psychology from Florida Atlantic University.

“Understanding people is the foundation of leadership,” Beau says. “Studying psychology wasn’t just about earning a degree—it was about understanding the why behind human behavior and decision-making. That understanding has shaped how I’ve led, trained, and built teams my entire career.”

A former Eagle Scout and proud product of Palm Beach County’s schools, Beau learned early that service, preparedness, and teamwork define true leadership. Those lessons guided his 25-year career with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, where he served in Patrol, Narcotics, Major Case Investigations, and the DEA Task Force, and deployed as part of Search and Rescue and the Emergency Field Force during critical incidents across Florida.

In 2009, Beau founded the Behavioral Analysis Training Group (BATG), a nationally recognized education company specializing in leadership, situational awareness, and behavioral analysis. Through BATG, he has trained over 10,000 officers nationwide, helping law enforcement professionals better understand people, read behavior, and make sound decisions under pressure.

Beau is also the author of the “Always Ready” series for law enforcement, which includes Lead Ready, Stay Ready, Train Ready, and Begin Ready—a collection of leadership and mindset development books used in agencies and academies across the country. Each book centers around a single principle: Preparedness isn’t an act—it’s a culture.

Beyond the badge, Beau is a husband and father. He and his wife, Amy, are raising their three children—Caroline, Charlotte, and Conor—right here in Palm Beach County. “Family keeps you grounded,” he says. “It’s where integrity begins and where accountability is tested every day.”

Beau’s philosophy is simple but powerful: Leadership is service, not status.

As Sheriff, he plans to restore professionalism, transparency, and trust within the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office—building a culture where deputies feel valued, the community feels protected, and leadership is visible, not distant.

“I’ve lived here. I’ve served here. I’ve raised my family here,” Beau says. “Palm Beach County deserves a Sheriff who leads with purpose, invests in people, and believes in being Always Ready—for the job, for the community, and for each other.”

What You Can Expect From Me

Community Engagement – Trust begins with showing up. Deputies will be back in neighborhoods, meetings, and daily lives where relationships build real safety.

Internal Investigations & Transparency – Truth should never fear the spotlight. Every complaint will count, every dollar will be tracked, and every leader will be accountable.

Patrol & Specialized Units – A return to basics built for excellence, with patrol first, elite units sharpened, and every badge on the street contributing to a stronger agency.

Mental Health & Wellness – Readiness comes from care. We will support the people behind the badge with trauma-informed policies, real wellness programs, and honest accountability.

    Career Timeline

A lifetime of service, learning, and experience that built a leader

Beau Cisco’s 25-year career with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reflects a lifetime of service, leadership, and commitment to professionalism. From his first patrol shifts to leading specialized units and training future leaders, every chapter of his career has been about one thing—raising the standard.

He began his career in the Patrol Division (2000–2003), where he learned that professionalism starts with the smallest details on every call. Those early years taught him that every report, every contact, and every decision shapes public trust.

From there, he joined the Narcotics Unit (2003–2010), where he conducted long-term covert investigations, built confidential informant networks, and dismantled organized drug operations. His success in major case work earned him selection to the DEA Task Force – West Palm Beach (2006–2010), coordinating complex, multi-agency cases targeting high-level trafficking organizations and developing skills in intelligence gathering and federal coordination.

In 2010, Beau returned to frontline leadership as a Patrol Supervisor in Lake Worth Beach, serving until his retirement in 2025. He led deputies through one of the county’s busiest districts, promoting proactive policing, integrity, and accountability. His command style focused on mentorship, readiness, and restoring pride in the badge—values that remain central to his leadership philosophy today.

From 2020 to 2025, Beau also served as the Search & Rescue Coordinator Supervisor within the Emergency Field Force, deploying to disaster areas across Florida for hurricane recovery, missing-person operations, and large-scale emergencies. Under his leadership, search teams operated safely, efficiently, and with precision under pressure—embodying the “Always Ready” mindset he would later teach nationwide.

His final years with PBSO were spent in the Training Division (2015–2025), where he developed advanced programs in behavioral analysis, situational awareness, leadership, and use-of-force review. He trained new deputies, mentored new sergeants, and helped shape the next generation of law enforcement professionals.

As the founder of the Behavioral Analysis Training Group (BATG), Beau has since trained over 10,000 professionals across the country in body language, deception detection, and decision-making under stress. He is also the author of the nationally recognized Always Ready book series (Stay Ready, Lead Ready, Train Ready, and Begin Ready), used in academies and agencies as a foundation for leadership and mindset development.

Beau’s career has always been about one mission—building stronger people, better training, and a more professional culture. That’s the same mission he’s bringing to the campaign for Palm Beach County Sheriff 2028.
